We conducted a session on Capacity Building Training for Farmer Households on March 20, 2025, at Pakkiranvettai, Kinniya under the Improving Rural Livelihoods, Enhancing Food Security, and Building Climate Resilience project. The training covered sustainable agriculture techniques, organic farming, home gardening, seed sowing methods, vegetable production (including spinach cultivation), and natural pest control methods. A total of 35 participants (18 males, 17 females) attended the program. Participants expressed keen interest in organic farming, setting up small-scale farms, and market linkages. Field officers highlighted the effectiveness of practical demonstrations and recommended further training sessions. Future plans include establishing community model farms, hands-on training in organic vegetable cultivation, and regular follow-up sessions to monitor the progress of farming initiatives.
