Meeting with Individuals with Special Needs

As part of the ongoing Food Security Project, we identified and met with 7 individuals with special needs from the villages included in the program. The selected villages were Majeeth Nagar GN Division and Aailadi GN Division on April 29th 2025. During the field visit, we observed their home gardens and inquired about their additional livelihood-related needs. These visits provided valuable insights into their existing livelihood activities and the challenges they face due to their special needs. A total of 54 individuals with special needs have been trained under this program. From among them, 7 individuals were selected and visited as part of this follow-up process. It was confirmed that these individuals are currently engaged in small-scale livelihoods such as goat rearing, cattle rearing, poultry farming, and various home-based handicrafts. The invitation extended to them to be part of the livelihood assistance program was appropriate and timely. They are now eagerly awaiting the second phase of livelihood support, which is scheduled to be provided in the coming months.
