Under this impactful project, 120 beneficiaries were selected to support sustainable freshwater fish farming in their communities. In collaboration with the Trincomalee Government Agent’s Office and the National Aquaculture Development Authority (NAQDA), 10,000 fingerlings were released into the Kurangu Panchchan pond.
The fingerlings were officially handed over by our Director, Rev. Fr. Dr. B. Paul Robinson, who personally addressed the beneficiaries. In his message, he shared: “As these fish grow and multiply, I kindly request each of you to support your fisheries society in any small way you can. Let this be a step towards self-reliance and stronger communities.”
This initiative not only provides livelihood opportunities but also enhances food security and strengths climate resilience in rural areas.
