A capacity building training program for farmer households was successfully conducted on April 3, 2025, in Muthu Nagar, Trincomalee, with the participation of the farmers from the villages; Aaththimottai, Iluppaikulam, Selvanayagapuram, and Thirumalpuram. The session was facilitated by Mr. R. Libijanan, an Agricultural Extension Officer from the Urban and Rural Agriculture Department, Trincomalee. The training focused on promoting organic farming methods and included practical demonstrations on three key techniques: preparation of organic composite green manure, the use of 3G Solution as a natural growth enhancer, and making and applying fish tonic as an organic fertilizer. Participants responded positively and willing to have further workshops.
